Trips entering Indiranagar from the south

The key question is not just how much traffic is on the road, but how much of it is actually making the full movement the elevated corridor claims to serve.

In August 2024, 1.11 lakh trips entered Indiranagar from the south 20% of those trips turned onto Double Road Only around 34% of the original traffic ends up at the KFC signal Only around 29,000 trips leave Indiranagar onto Old Madras Road

The opposite direction

The reverse movement shows the same pattern: much of the traffic disperses into or out of the neighbourhood network.

Bottom line

The elevated corridor appears to help only about 1613 trips every day.

The DPR puts the number at about 30,000 vehicles per day. As seen in the analysis, a majority of those vehicles may not be the ones this elevated corridor seems to target.
